What’s Your Business Model?

This presentation will explore many closely related business models that operate in the managed print services (MPS) space. In this session, Cameron will try to make sense of the many variant models by looking at their related yet unique value propositions, which serve the office technology/printing landscape.
The discussion will focus on a family of business models:
- The core business: infrastructure equipment and supplies transactional sales;
- Protecting my turf: contracting for supplies and service;
- Growing my business: adding an MPS service model; and
- Increased relevance: MPS/managed services.
The business value of each model will be examined. Cameron will also discuss how these models form a logical spectrum of managed services built around a transactional equipment base.
The concern regarding the death of “the core” transactional sales model is premature. It is believed by many in the industry that this core remains a vital link to customers and established accounts and is base platform that provides many types of managed services.
