This presentation will discuss a structured approach to developing a print policy plan from the perspective of both managed print services (MPS) providers and their end-user customers.

After defining the overall eight-step process, beginning with Defining Customer Goals and Objectives and ending with Measurement/Control and Adjustment, we will develop a detailed approach to topics such as the following:

  • key considerations in developing a print policy change management program;
  • developing a fact-based understanding of policy/control opportunities;
  • how to pre-test and validate the possible impact of planned policy deployment;
  • different levels of policy control and their pros and cons;
  • getting stakeholders and end users buy-in to planned changes; and
  • measuring results–knowing what to measure and how.

We will conclude with a discussion of best practices drawn from our experience with both Fortune 500 accounts and channel MPS providers.
